Software Design Engineers/Software Test Engineer GSM/EDGE Physical Layer, Nürnberg

For a new long term customer project we are looking for software design engineers. You will work in a large project team, develop and integrate GSM/EDGE technology with the key domain in physical layer, layer 1 and radio control.

Qualifications

* BSc/MSC or corresponding education in computer science, information technology or communications engineering
* Software design and test engineers with at least three years of experience of design, implementation and test of physical layer software for mobile phones, radio base station or similar products
*
Technical qualification:
o Very good C and C++ programming skills
o Software design of embedded real time software
o Understanding of microcontroller constraints
o Real time operating systems and scheduling
o Software debugging on target hardware
o Usage of layer 1 test equipment (e.g. Rhode & Schwarz CMU200)
o Good understanding of the GSM and EDGE channel structure and timings
o Good understanding of the 3GPP standards for GSM and EDGE physical layer and NAS in general
* Additional Skills
o Understanding of software design process
o Working in multi-site projects under strict software configuration management
o Documentation of design and implementation
o Good communication skills
o Fluent English speaking and writing
o Team player
